It’s a piece of great news for all the students aspiring for a government job. The cabinet has approved the National Recruitment Agency establishment, which will conduct the Common Eligibility Test 2020

It is a progressive approach the Government will implement for the recruitment in the Government Jobs such as RRB Recruitment,  SSC Recruitment, and IBPS Recruitment. The Finance Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman announced the establishment of the NRA in February 2020.

Common eligibility test highlights 

The NRA will conduct the CET 2020– Common Eligibility Test, a standard prelim Examination to select Group B and Group C posts ( Non-Technical). The buzz around CET is inevitable. The NRA- National Recruitment Agency formation will bring some radical changes in the entrance test system for shortlisting candidates for Group B and Group C posts. NRA will be responsible for holding the Common Eligibility Test, which will be the Preliminary Exam. The Agency will conduct the Common Eligibility Test 2020 to select candidates for the non-gazetted posts in the Central Government and the Public Sector Banks. There will be no multiple entrance examinations, thus, there will be a single entrance examination for all non-gazetted posts – Group B and Group C.

There will be centers in all the districts, and the candidates would be able to take the exam easily without traveling to different cities or states. It is an excellent advantage for the economically-weaker section of the society who do not have the resources to travel long distances to appear for exams in different centers.

Candidates who qualify for the Common Entrance Test can apply to the respective recruitment agencies for higher-level or main examinations.

  • OBC- Other Backward Class (OBC), etc.

The NRA CET syllabus and difficulty level will be according to the educational qualification – Class 10, Class 12, and Graduation. There should be no confusion in the SSC CET exam or RRB exam, IBPS exam, and the CET exam

  • What will be the NRA CET Exam Centres 2020-21?

There will be the formation of 1000 centers in 117 districts. It will be a massive advantage for the candidates residing in the rural areas and for, women and disadvantaged candidates
